Rally Racer is the successor of Rally Rac3r. The difference? This Rear Wheel Drive race car is a tremendous success. As complimented by Karl4123, this vehicle has “sleek and stylish looks.” It is geared up 36:12 or 3:1, and it is decently quick with decent torque. Many styling cues have been added. Why is there no InfraRed Sensor, you may ask! Well, thank you for asking! With the help of Builderdude35’s tutorials, Rally Racer drives via Bluetooth! Rally Racer’s Intelligent Brick acts as a receiver, and a second Ev3 Intelligent Brick is the remote! In this way, I am able to control Rally Racer from 200 feet away. I also incorporated bluetooth RC into prototype versions of my 2010 Cadillac CTS-V Replica. Continue reading
The SharkBot robot is built with Lego Mindstorms Ev3 and is basically a modified version of Builderdude35’s Timmyton 5.5 robotic shark. It features aerodynamic styling, mechanical upgrades, modified programming, and more (including both autonomous behavior and remote control function). Continue reading
Building instructions in form of a LDD now available for my Lego Mindstorms Ev3 hand generator vehicle!
Here is my model review of the Timmyton 5.5 robot shark built by Builderdude35. It is built using only one 31313 LEGO Mindstorms Ev3 set.
Technical features: 1 programmable Intelligent Brick, 2 Large Motors, 1 Medium Motor, 1 Color Sensor, 1 InfraRed Sensor
Lego Mindstorms Ev3 Intelligent Bricks communicate over 190 feet through Bluetooth! Go behind the scenes with my 2010 Cadillac CTS-V Replica, CTS-eV3!
Special thanks to Builderdude35 for his Bluetooth tutorials!
CTS-eV3 is a Lego replica of the 2010 Cadillac CTS-V. With Rear Wheel Drive, lots of speed, and more than adequate torque, this motorized creation is like the real car. Having been over half a year in the making, there has been many trial-and-errors (including chassis, drivetrain, and exterior redesigns). But I am quite satisfied with the final outcome! CTS-eV3 has a 4.5:1 gear ratio (minus the differential), accomplished by driving a 36 tooth gear meshed with an 8 tooth gear in a unique setup. Actual speed is a few tenths under 4 Kph! This two door coupe has been relatively replicated, including the visible V8 piston engine along with the Corvette inspired supercharger! Continue reading
Preliminary design of my 2010 Cadillac CTS-V replica built with Lego Mindstorms Ev3. FINAL MODEL WILL DIFFER. Tell me what you think of it so far in the comments below! Any suggestions? You never know, they may have a role in the final version!
After a bit of an absence, I am back with a technically failed project. Rally Rac3r was built to be very fast with its 9:1 gear ratio, but the resulting low torque prevented reaching top speed in little time. It features exhaust pipes, opening gulling doors, rally-worthy lights along with accessory roof lights, rear spoiler, return to center steering with gear rack, smooth flowing aerodynamics, and more.
