MINDSTORMS® Book Cancelled/Delayed

TR3ADBOT

The LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3LUTION is my upcoming EV3 book. Using only one 31313 LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 Retail set, you will be able to build several robots and program them with this book…

Well, it was going to be my upcoming book. Unfortunately, someone tampered with my computer and all my files are lost. All my saved videos, edited pictures for my upcoming lego animation, and the book itself; all trace is lost. I’m currently searching into all my backup devices; hopefully it’ll be there. Updates later.

I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, I’m really sorry.

Chopp3Rod | Stylish Hot Rod Convertible

I went retro this time around and decided to build something as big as I could without compromising the look. Chopp3Rod is the result of many hours of work, sporting both an attractive interior and exterior. The wheels are driven by independent direct drive via two Large Motors. A complex program allows the drivetrain to mimic a differential since a real differential was not used. Therefore it has an electronic differential! It sports many details, including a V12 engine, transparent lights, a Color Sensor headlight, comfy seats, clear quarter-panel windows, side exhaust, curvy wheel arches, rear tonneau cover, custom wheel hubs, and more! I am really happy with this model and how it turned out.  Continue reading

CUB3 – or not only a cube?

A project I almost gave up on; thankfully I didn’t! Built with LEGO MINDSTORMS and Technic components, it includes: 2 EV3 Large Motors, 1 EV3 Medium Motor, 1 EV3 InfraRed Sensor, 2 small linear-actuators, a pair of hidden caterpillar tracks, and more! With its insignificantly-looking cubic structure, CUB3 is engineered to look like your ordinary box just lying around. Decoration, anyone? Your neighbors will find out soon enough. Just watch!  Continue reading

Gen3rator

Gen3rator is a very unique robot! Did you know that turning Mindstorms motors generate electricity? Well, now you know! Turning the hand-generator (motor) will transmit the electricity through the long wire and turn the motor in the vehicle! Some have already tried these systems, but I optimized mine. I used large tires to increase distance traveled in one revolution of the motor, and also geared it up 1:3 to speed it up 3 times faster!  Continue reading

Outland3r 2.0

Outland3r 2.0 has arrived! It is everything my original Outland3r was – except speedy… Outland3r 2.0 is now much stronger, enough to tackle the off-road terrain of grass, sand, and such! I tried to keep with the SUV theme but need up with more of a station wagon type of vehicle. Needless to say, Outland3r 2.0 is changed inside and out. What Outland3r 2.0 features that wasn’t present on Outland3r 1.0: lifting rear hatch, roof rack, and more!  Continue reading

Outland3r

Here, my friends, is the ultimate SUV I’ve been waiting to show you. Well, wait’s over, so! Outland3r is my best robotic vehicle yet, featuring a 1:3 geared-up speed ratio, hood scoop, metallic grille, opening doors and roof, racing seat, realistic headlight/taillights, sporty spoiler, steering capabilities, and much more!  Continue reading

myR3PTAR

myR3PTAR is an extensively upgraded version of the official model R3PTAR. It is very easy to tell that its changed. For one, the entire color scheme is changed where possible. Almost all the panels are non-Ev3 set panels, and myR3PTAR has a much thicker, wider stance than the original. What was originally red has been reverted into white and vice-versa. Much of the black elements have been removed to make way for brighter colors. I have a video available for you guys to watch. There are so many changes to list that I have to leave it at just that.

MTV3

MTV3 (pronounced “em-t-ee-vee-three” or “em-t-E-V-3”; get it?) is a Multi-Terrain-Vehicle in a super-compact package. It may look like TRACK3R but don’t be deceived; it is not at all related to TRACK3R. MTV3 features torsion-bar suspension, terrain-conquering tracks, Remote-Controllability, loads of sensors, and much more! I was inspired by Audiultra‘s NXT TROV tank with suspension, and I thought if he could do it, so could I. So here it is: my first tank with suspension. Although MTV3 does not incorporate shock absorbers in its suspension, it uses a unique type of suspension called torsion-bar suspensionContinue reading

Doodl3r

Doodl3r

Doodl3r

Hello everyone again! Doodl3r is my version of Breberky‘s EV3 Doodler. Doodl3r can draw using a marker by use of a scissor linkage. Two large motors drive the ends of the linkage’s arms at different speeds (depending on what type of picture you want). The basic core of Doodl3r is basically from Breberky’s LDD with a few structural tweaks, but the rest of the design is mine. Special thanks to Breberky who allowed his EV3 Doodler to be worked on by others like me. I recommend checking out his robots.

Load3r

Load3r is a simple yet efficient robot inspired by certain construction vehicles known as loaders. The loader design alone took hours to build. The bucket is more complex than it looks. The bucket can also be lifted manually and stowed in place above the vehicle. The tread design is similar to EV3RSTORM‘s. It is remote-controllable via the IR Remote. I know this bot may be a bit of a disappointment compared to my others, but I was really focused on the bucket design more than the vehicle itself. Plus, it is great with pushing foreign objects out of the way. Please be sure to check out my other robots, which are notably better. 🙂

MicroSport 3Function Vehicle

Sorry for the long wait friends, but here it is; version 2 of my MicroSport 3Function Concept!

Doesn’t MicroSport 3Function Vehicle look miniature? Well, it’s a MicroBot, isn’t it? There is an important reason this is called MicroSport 3Function Vehicle instead of MicroSport 3Function Concept 2.0. Not only did I upgrade MicroSport, but it is not right to call this a concept anymore. This is the real thing; My previous MicroSport was only a concept, a prototype so-to-speak. MicroSport has 3Functions, true to its name. One large motor drives the rear axle, one medium motor steers the front axle, and the remaining large motor powers an auxiliary output found at the front of the vehicle. The unique thing is that the large motors are positioned in the exact same opposite to each other, so the balance is not upset! Of course, this vehicle is remote-controllable (what fun is it without being able to drive it?) A transparent brick sits up top like an ambulance’s. That way it can warn others it’s coming ( 😛 it doesn’t light up).

And yes, if anyone was wondering, the background is REAL grass.
